The explosive growth of inexpensive embedded computing technology, combined with low-power wireless standards and new IPv6 technology called 6LoWPAN is enabling the Internet to go where it couldn’t before – enabling even the most limited devices to become part of the Internet. The next billion nodes will be on the Internet before we know it.
